The city of Tampa and the surrounding area is one of the fastest growing communities in the United States right now. Situated along the edge of Tampa Bay the city has become home to dozens of cultural, recreational and leisure enterprises. There is always something to do or see in this busy city year-round.

Downtown Tampa is home to a Cultural Arts District that includes the new Museum of Art, the St. Pete Times Forum (one of the top five arenas for ticket sales in the U.S.), the Tampa Performing Arts Center and many art galleries, theaters and musical performing groups. Included in this area there are many museums, historic sites, parks and the Florida Aquarium.

There are so many things going on here that we cannot possibly list them all, but here are a few ideas:

Within minutes of downtown you will find Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, the Museum of Science and Industry, Dinosaur World, Ybor Historical District, beaches, gambling boats, fishing excursions, spectator sports throughout the year, and an endless supply of shopping areas and fine dining. Just to give you an idea of the diversity of the area, Tampa also loves festivals and there are celebrations going on year-round that include the State Fair, the Gasparilla Pirate Fest (Tampa's version of Mardi Gras), Grand Prix races, a variety of musical festivals, strawberry and tomato festivals, and much, much more.

St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Dunedin and Tarpon Springs are all a short drive away and provide additional areas to enjoy the great Florida weather and sights. All of these communities offer beaches, boat trips, shopping and dining to fit most everyone's interest. About an hours drive east of Tampa you will find Disney World and Universal Studios Theme Parks.

Tampa is a city on the move and people across the country are coming here to enjoy the many opportunities this prosperous area has to offer.
