Apollo Beach

Apollo Beach is a waterfront community about twenty minutes south of downtown Tampa, and sits across the bay from Saint Petersburg. Many of the homes in the area are located on waterways and have private docks so if boating and fishing is your favorite pass time this is an area you might want to look at. The beautiful Alafia River is here and offers more opportunities for fishing and sightseeing.

Because of easy access to I-75, Apollo Beach is just minutes from all of the Tampa area amenities. Brandon, Riverview and Sun City Center are other nearby cities that offer shopping, dining and entertainment. A relaxing boat ride across the bay will bring you to all the fun and entertainment that St Petersburg is famous for. MacDill Air Force Base, which is located at the tip of the bay is also easily accessible from Apollo Beach.

The area is also well known for the many citrus fruit orchards, strawberries, tomatoes and a wide variety of other fruits and vegetables that are available at roadside markets and festivals throughout the year.

A short drive south will bring you to Bradenton and Sarasota which are two more of Florida's well known beachside communities. All of these areas are growing by leaps and bounds with new homes and businesses to accommodate the influx of people looking to make Florida a year-round home rather than a place to get away from the cold winters up north.
