San Antonio

Looking to get away from the hustle of the city but still want the conveniences and opportunities that Tampa offers? San Antonio may be a place to look. As of now this is a wide spot in the road about thirty minutes north east of the Tampa Bay area, but that is changing rapidly.

While the town itself doesn't have much to offer, the area around San Antonio is being developed into several new communities that offer a variety of options for lifestyles, price ranges and business opportunities. Currently there are two golf courses in the area, several new housing projects going and Belle Vista has barely broken ground on a new "resort style" development. For those who want to be a little more country and have an acre or two and maybe a horse to go along with it, there is a lot of property available.

There is a business park easily accessible to I-75 and a direct route into either Tampa or Ocala. The opportunity for business is wide open as the nearest shopping areas are Wesley Chapel or Dade City, both about six miles from San Antonio. With all the new housing it won't be long before the need for local shopping areas and business will demand attention.

There are two colleges nearby, St. Leo and the Pasco-Hernando Community College just outside Dade City. St. Leo University sits at the edge of San Antonio in the beautiful rolling hills that make the area especially attractive to those wanting more of a country atmosphere. St. Leo's one hundred year reputation as one of the leading southern colleges offers a wide degree of classes, both in house and on-line.
